William D. Schreckhise (B.A., Washington State University, 1991; M.A., Washington State University, 1994; Ph.D., Washington State University, 1999) is an associate professor and the adviser of the Legal Studies minor. He teaches and researches in the areas of public policy, constitutional law, administrative law, and public administration.
He has published articles in Social Science Quarterly, State and Local Government Review, Urban Affairs Review, Youth and Society, Business and Politics, American Review of Politics, Public Integrity, The Forum, Public Administration Quarterly, International Journal of Public Administration, and Midsouth Political Science Review, Justice System Journal, along with several chapters in edited volumes. He is currently writing a book titled American Democracy: An Assessment which examines the ability of the U.S. political system to make good public policy.
