We, as a department, are firmly committed to assisting all our students on their journey towards greater justice in our society and the communities in which we live. Students represent our next generation of thought leaders and the agents of change. As political scientists, we understand, that in a system that reinforces unjust power structures and perpetuates racism, silence is an act of complicity. Therefore, we stand with those who seek to dismantle those structures and devote ourselves to listening and learning from those who suffer under them. We are, as well, firmly committed to equipping our students with analytical tools to assist in the realization of a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive society.
